The sky blue colour is too bright
Too Dull background.

I'm not feeling the orange background, it draws too much attention away from the type.
I think these too colours work really well. They have a good contrast between light and dark.

I used this information to create a typographic poster around the subject of oil prices and everything to do with it.

Each counter is a cutout of a different country from that list. Looking at it a day on. Its harder to read as each counter is different. I also adapted the A into looking like an oil mine splurting out fresh oil. This is moving away from the simplicity of the other designs i've done. I think i need to go back and change this. Back to the drawing board.

RANTS

I've wrote a new brief for myself as the typographic posters i was producing as an extension for the Don't Panic brief are no longer suitable for that particular brief.

I'm going to experiment with more rants and tweak the counters, as i feel they all except the hank marvin one are too obvious and give the game away.

Headline 3: The Right To Be Heard

So the BNP are going to be on Question time tonight. This article was featured in the Garden and focused on freedom of speech and how everyone has the right to voice their opinion. I found this amazing quote by Noam Chomsky 'If we don't believe in freedom of expression for those that we despise, we don't believe in it at all'

I decided to run with the microphone and type idea. Trying out different logos.
I was swaying towards some illustrative type, but decided to go with a style and layout that worked in series with the For Sale poster.

I prefer the blue ones. But i can always experiment with different colours for each one. Tempted to try and create each headline print from now on in 2 colours or even one.

FOR SALE

I also revisited my Fire Sale headline. I'm trying to keep things simple and keep a series of the prints that actually work alone and in series.

From the Type based project i was working on with the social rants. I stuck with experimenting with the counters of the type. I think these are working really well and it works in series with the I Will Be Heard Print.
The Red on White doesn't work as well as the full colour background

The spacing between the two lines is a little off putting. To close to edges.

Can be read as an O but is harder. Works better when the shape of Great Britain makes up the counter.

I think this is the final
