Act!onAid - Layouts

I dove straight into these briefs and got cracking with some layouts.I knew i wanted to include a run down of how donations are distributed. People don't donate because they have no idea where their contribution is going to go.

I want that to be the poster side of my leaflet, an a3 illustration showing how every £1 is spent.

The poster side should be separate from the informational leaflet.

Anyway started with mixing the photos into 2 colour prints black and one of either pantone; red or yellow.

I wasn't happy with the yellow overlayed text or the way the type was working with the image. I started again using the same image.

Using colorize to change the colours on the photos.

Front type in red including logo doesn't stand out enough

Turned opacity down and didnt really do much

Stands out more but logo still hard to read

Better. heres where i have stopped . I'm happy with the centre type which follows the image. The white type also stands out more. Red also works well, if you enlarge this image it'll stand out more.

I started on the back aswell. Only i haven't quiet nailed that yet

I started this in a similar way i started to the front side. It wasn't working

So i began again
I went back and created another layout designs. I wanted to keep the type neutral as i had done on the front.
The red stands out abit too much, as apposed to the other side where i lowered the opacity.

I've enjoyed the work i've produced on to this brief so far, and have a few plans for what else i can produce.
